Techie Dad Hosts an Exchange Student

Wife ate fairly well last night after vomiting. I made baked Tilipia and leftover chicken breasts with Creole seasoning and garlic Home fried potatoes. I wanted to make her a little “soul food”/comfort food, as sometimes that’s the best thing for someone who is not that interested in eating.

She wasn’t too interested in the fish by itself, and decided to make a sandwich out of it with slices of ripe tomato. She ate all the potatoes I put on the plate and went back for seconds. More importantly, she kept everything down.

No fried potatoes for me. I’m trying to lose weight. I had a medium baked potato with ketchup and perhaps too much fish and chicken.

I like peanut oil for homestyle cooking. It ain’t the healthiest, but it has good flavor. It isn’t lard either, so there are worse things than eating things cooked in peanut oil.

She ate and watched most of some movie with Georgia in the title. Far too estrogenic for my tastes. I went for a walk/jog and received my riding lawn mower back from the repairman. I then did two loads of laundry and finished coding some statistics, at which time Sara got ready for bed. She seemed to be in pleasant spirits, but especially tired.
